Using kit 020226 To reproduce: 1) Select the Filesystems node in the explorer 2) Click the "New ..." toolbar button The only way to create one is to mount a new filesystem first then select it in the Explorer then click the New... toolbar button even though in the New From Template dialog for a Web Module a directory for the web module can be created.
This is the same for any new application.
Hmm, why do you think this belongs to core? WebApps folks please evaluate. Tell us what behavior do you expect from core
Aha, I now understand what you mean. Unfortunately it's "as designed". The "New..." action is meant to be a context-sensitive. For example if you select the root Filesystems node in the explorer and then invoke New you are being presented with a wizard which let you mount new filesystem. However if the current selection is a folder then there is a different version of the wizard which lets you create subfolder or java class,... The trouble is that the New web module is global, ie context-less. I don't know how to redesign it. In any case this is UI issue. Please talk to HIE/UI to create a better UI solution and file a RFE against core. I close this as INVALID because it's not a bug per se.
Enhancement request.
Target milestone was changed from '3.4' to TBD.
I think this issue has been obsoleted by the new Project system and should be resolved as WONTFIX. There are no plans to implement this enhancement in the 3.x codeline.
This issue was solved long time ago. Because nobody has reopened it neither added comments, we are verifying/closing it now. If you are still able to reproduce the problem, please reopen. Thanks in advance.
