This bug was originally marked as duplicate of bug 197710, that is already resolved. This bug is still valid, so this seems to be another bug, but it might be related.

Reading the last snaphost (627355) it seems that loading the main menu can take considerable amount of time. Passing to platform for evaluation.

The problems with slow menu on Mac are duplicate of http://netbeans.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=211284

But other exception reports indicate problem in EditorBookmarksModule class which does a lot of stuff in EDT when editor window gets focused, please evaluate.

The bookmark problems were fixed by Mila right after Beta 1. I am closing this report as works for me then.
