Markdown support with: - Live preview - Syntax highlighting e.g. ReText http://sourceforge.net/p/retext/home/ReText/
See also the features in Uber Writer http://uberwriter.wolfvollprecht.de. Those features inside netbeans would be killer.
This would be most helpful and a nice enhancement to NetBeans' text editing features.
Have you tried the external plugin https://github.com/madflow/flow-netbeans-markdown ? Seems promising. Even Adam Bien likes it http://www.adam-bien.com/roller/abien/entry/markdown_plugin_for_netbeans
Yes, the flow-netbeans-markdown plugin looks good. And now the GitHub sources also include a built nbm for the module, so you don't need to build it from sources. Looking forward to when it's published on the Plugin Portal (currently not deemed stable enough).
The problem of that plugin is, that it does not have a live preview, which would be a great feature for reading simple library documentations.
Created attachment 149752 [details] Shows Markdown plugin editor and preview (In reply to naitsirch from comment #5) > The problem [...] is, that it does not have a live preview[...] Sorry. That is not true. Use the splittericon in the editor toolbar to split the editor. Then in the new part switch to "Preview". See screenshot I used https://github.com/madflow/flow-netbeans-markdown/releases/tag/2.0
