This is very long slowdown, however it occurs very rarely. It happens in java regexp implementation, where probably too much data is sent. If I will do this outside of awt, I would need readlock on document, therefore any typing or other editor action will wait on writelock to finish search. I think it's P4 if there is not many more reports.

Fixed in latest Netbeans versions. Search is now calculated in other thread.
