Description NeowithU 2014-11-16 14:11:37 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE 8.0.1 (Build 201408251540)
Operating System = Mac OS X version 10.10 running on x86_64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.8.0_25
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.25-b02

After I updated my NetBeans a few days ago (which means it was working normally at that time), NetBeans can't conncet to the Internet to update itself and the plugins.
The test connection button tell me that it's working, and I can also install plugins.
I have turned off my firewall, followed some instructions on the Internet to modify netbeans.conf (adding -J-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true to netbeans_default_options), but it's still not work.

This is most probably caused by the outage of Plugin Portal and its Update Center will be also affected. To workaround it invoke "Tools > Plugins" from main NetBeans menu, switch to "Settings" tab and turn off Plugin Portal Update Center. Hope this helps.

Yes, it did work for me. Thank you very much!

By the way, does this mean I will never use Plugin Portal?

We are working on fixing Plugin Portal but it takes a while. Thanks for your patience.
