Description CyberDrac 2015-07-31 10:01:08 UTC
It would be useful in situations where there is a large scale deployment to be able to script the installation of downloaded .nbm files/plugins either as part of the installation process for NetBeans, or post NetBeans installation and to amend the setting for the default plugin location to shared location as part of the installation of NetBeans or post NetBeans installation.

At the moment I have been having to visit each machine, 28 initially although there may well be a further two or three hundred to follow, and launch the application, and manually change the installation location, point the plugin manager to the downloaded files, and click through all the various acknowledgements or licences and certificates in order to install.

Having a command line where I can specify a location or a selection of files, ask it to install into the shared location, and pre-acknowledge the prompts would shave potentially weeks off the project.
