Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201509080002) Operating System = Windows 8.1 version 6.3 running on amd64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.8.0_60-ea Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.60-b23 Reproducibility: Happens every time STEPS: 1. Install a font on your system (example http://sourcefoundry.org/hack/) 2. Goto Options|Fonts&Colors 3. Language: All Languages 4. Category: Default 5. Bring up Font Dialog 6. Choose Hack 7. CLose OPtions dialog 8. OPen a Java file 9. Shutdown Netbeans 10. Delete Font (Hack in this example) from System 11. Start NetBeans 12. Goto Options|Fonts&Colors 13. Last opened Java File should be opened in editor ACTUAL: 1. At Step 12 above "Default" category font still shows Hack 2. Editor does not render text cleanly (see attachment Bad Editor) EXPECTED: Default category font is set to "Monospaced" Editor renders text cleanly with requisite Monospaced font
