Description muellermi 2016-03-16 13:10:03 UTC
Product Version = NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201603160001)
Operating System = Windows 7 version 6.1 running on amd64
Java; VM; Vendor = 1.8.0_74
Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.74-b02

Reproducibility: Happens every time

I use a German Windwos sytem.

Get NetBeans latest, ide lang = English

Expected: IDE language English

But, surprisingly today, it appeared in German( some fields are not translated yet), although it is not possible to select a German vertsion for download....
I assume, this is a kind of feature. But to me, it looks a bit strange after alls this year with an English IDE.

If NetBeans determines the system language and automatically changes its appearance, please add an option to choose "system language", "English" or other...

Currently you can set locale, but unfortunately only on command line.
See the blog for more information:

Thanks for information.

This blog is about 8 years old. I wonder, why NetBeans NOW switched to a German UI for the first time.
