I'm talking specifically the Grails development side of things.  Only four very similar icons are used, and two of them only once each - libraries and project files.  The late Spring Groovy Grails Tool Suite had nice icons - a pair of glasses for views, etc.  It makes it just that little bit easier to quickly find things when the project becomes quite big.  The icons should be very different with preferably different colours.
