Build: NetBeans IDE Dev (Build 201706120001) VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM, 25.111-b14, Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment, 1.8.0_111-b14 OS: Mac OS X User Comments: rweaver: Nothing other than leaving the IDE open for a couple of hours. GUEST: I usually leave the IDE open for days , run build tasks, web servers ... you get the idea GUEST: Opened and minimized. Came back and maximized. White screen and not functional. Closing would not work. Terminated with a killall command on java. GUEST: This happend while trying to rename a java file. GUEST: Netbeans did not allow mac to restart.
