Thanks, this is helpful. It may have something to do with the JDK 1.3 implementation on FreeBSD. Reassigning to core for futher evaluation.
I have no idea what could cause this problem. We do not have machine with FreeBSD here AFAIK. Could you please try newer JDK if possible? Your ide.log contains: Operating System = FreeBSD version 4.7-RELEASE running on i386 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.3.1-p7; Classic VM 1.3.1-p7-root-021224-16:09; Sun Microsystems Inc. What JDK is it? Standard JDK for Linux? Or something different? On my machine it gives: Operating System = Linux version 2.4.20-8 running on i386 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.4.2_03; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.4.2_03-b02; Sun Microsystems Inc.
no idea when and how we will be able to fix it, probably not 3.6
Assigning to Tim
Try this on a newer JDK for FreeBSD - the cause is quite clearly that images are not being loaded properly (possibly someone didn't implement a GIF decoder?).
