open the IDE help window.
move it to the side of the mail IDE window.

do some menu-based command such as File New .. to
create a new file.  On completing and closing the
form, the help window is moved and centered on the
main IDE window.  It also looks as though the help
window is getting repeated redrawn (unncessarily).
