[trunk build #200412141900] I see different behavior of new proxy dialog on Mac OS X and WinXP. There are these differencies: 1.Proxy dialog contains values of proxy port and host: Mac -Yes Win -No 2.Connection with default proxy to update center fails: Mac -Yes Win -No This is very strange - Mac knows the proxy but is not able to connect through it (Windows doesn't know the proxy and connects successfully). The behavior on linux seems to be same as on WinXP.

It's UI misunderstanding, the fields Proxy Host/Port don't show the proxy settings if the System Settings Proxy is set. It means these values are not used when a connection is being made. Why it have been working on Win and not on Mac? Win detects any system proxy setting and uses it, Mac doesn't. Closed as WORKSFORME.
OK - verified.
