(See also comments in issue 53535): The Resolve button in the missing references dialog brings up the Platform Manager dialog (for missing platforms anyway). While this is a UI for doing that, it's pretty non-intuitive - an actual UI, say a wizard Cannot find platform "Foo" ( ) Look for Foo in already known platforms ( ) Find Foo on disk --- Probably similar for missing libraries (although at some point we ought to be able to scrape the Ant script for lots of stuff, right?)
Jano, what do you think about it?
I agree the UI is a problem. Probably can't do anything about it for 4.1.
This issue has TM=future and it's P2, so if you don't plan to fix it for NB4.1 ask for waiver.
Once more: This issue is P2, so if you don't plan to fix it for NB4.1 ask for waiver. BTW: Is it really P2?
Decreasing priority to P3. The current UI is quite ugly and non-intuitive, but the user is guided to what she/he is supposed to do. I hope we'll be able to target this for the next release. The buildsys team agreed that this is important to do and it shouldn't be a lot of work.
Jano, any progress on this issue from your side?
This should be solved as part of improved UI for handling broken references which covers handling of broken references to libraries, and other things in web and enterprise projects (e.g. data sources). This "feature" was proposed for 6.0 but then it wasn't planned for. Maybe after 6.0...
Jan, do you plan to solve this issue for 7.0 or next? Thanks
Resolving all issues with milestone "future" as LATER. If you feel strongly that it should be implemented please reopen and set the target milestone to "next".
