Description schwarcz 2005-04-01 15:11:53 UTC
[ JDK VERSION : 1.5.0_02 ]

I’m looking at the results window after having done am Edit | Find in Projects and I wish I could copy the file name from one of the results nodes to an email. Just for kicks, I right-click, see Copy and do the copy. Great! Then I go to a file and right-click to do the Paste. Paste is enabled on the right-click menu so I’m happy. Just one problem though. Nothing is pasted into the destination (either in NB or any outside application like MS Word).

It looks to me as though nothing is being put in the clipboard.

A file is copied into the clipboard. If you will perform the paste oparation on
some folder node in explorer, the file will be pasted. It is not dedicated to
copy/paste the file name, but the file itself. Resolving as invalid

Well, that's a too bad. I was hoping to be able to capture the list of hits
somehow and had not been trying to copy the files. I'll file an enhancement to
ask for printing or saving the actual text in the window.

In any case the current UI seems defective: the paste should not be enabled /
highlighted if the clipboard contents can not be pasted into the target.
