I have a problem with Project window everytime I start my Metbeans 4.1 (build 200505031930). My last worked project(s) as an item context goes missing in that window. And yet my last worked files from those projects remains open. Under 'Main' menu, I have: 'New Project' 'Open Project' 'Open File' '<Last worked projectname> Properties' etc. Most notably greyed out are 'Open recent project' and 'Close Project' This leads me to think NetBeans failed to properly store my project and work settings. My first few tries in NetBeans 4.1 was OK. It can remember my last working project and opened files, plus recent history of my various projects. Kindly advise over this issue. Thank you.
If I understand the problem correctly, you do not see the project open in the Projects tab after restart (is that correct?). Could you please attach your messages.log to this bug? There may be some exception that causes the settings cannot be stored or load. The messages.log is in your ${USERDIR}/vag/log/messages.log. Please look here to find out where is the userdir located: http://www.netbeans.org/kb/faqs/configuration.html#FaqWhatIsUserdir Thanks.
Closing this bug for now, please attach the messages.log and reopen. Thanks.
