Description crued 2005-09-21 07:14:15 UTC
[ JDK VERSION : 1.5.0_01 ]

The "Help | About, Detail tab" gives the build
number but provides no easy way to transfer this to the clipboard in order to more easily submit
this information with an issue. It would be nice
if there were a way to copy the build number
(maybe by selecting the text and Ctrl-C?).

Another interesting possibility is to provide a
"QA module" (at least in pre-release builds?) that
adds a "Submit Issue" menu that will open a Web
browser to a bug submission page and pre-fill the
fields that can be filled in automaticaly.

Maybe it seem lazy, but I think people will be far
more likely to submit issues if it is made easier.

There is now button "Copy Info" in About dialog, Detail tab. When pressed it
copyies build and system info to clipboard. It is also possible to select text
my mouse and copy it to clipboard by Ctrl-C. Passing to core/ui to make this
issue duplicate of original issue.
