I get a virus warning on netbeans start-up. It says, that there is infected code in Enterprise2\modules\org-netbeans-modules-j2ee-blueprints.jar My Platform: - Windows XP Prof. with Service Pack 2 - F-Secure Anti-Virus Client Security 5.56 build 11160
I checked the one in 5.0 beta with Symantec antivirus (virus definition file was updated on 10/26, rev7). I also checked all files manually and didn't find anything malicious. What did your antivirus software say? Did it give you any other info such as the virus type or a suspicious file name?
Here is the System-Log, I got for this virus warning. F-Secure Anti-Virus Bösartiger Code in Datei (Infected code found in file) D:\DEV2\NETBEANS-5.0BETA\ENTERPRISE2\ MODULES\ORG-NETBEANS-MODULES-J2EE-BLUEPRINTS.JAR gefunden. Infektion: could be a mass-mailing worm Aktion: Fehlgeschlagen. (aborted)
Is it possible that your system was infected and altered this jar file? It would be very helpful if you could download 5.0 newly and see what your anti virus software tells us.
I don't think so, because I regularly do a full system scan and the anti virus software should have informed me about any infect.
I tried several versions of this module with Symantec antivirus software and it's still not reproducable. Mark this as "worksforme" for now.
