Description _ wadechandler 2005-12-30 16:11:29 UTC
It would be good to be able to undock an editor tab into it's own window even in
MDI mode. This way a single file which a user might want to pull out and full
screen at any given time would be possible. Sometimes it's just helpful when
one file has many changes and is going to be basically the entire thing to be
worked on. It would be nice to actually full screen the window as well.
Currently in SDI mode the tabs/panels in the project view
(Projects/Files/Runtime/etc) can be undocked into their own separate window.
The editor tabs can not even in SDI mode. This would be nice to have in both
MDI and SDI mode.

There is a current request at issue 42122 which requests the window API to allow
undocking of any TopComponent to be possible even in MDI mode. This would
depend on that.
