I added a JBoss 4.0.5 app server to NetBeans 5.5; however, nb doesn't offer the option to stop the server. It also doesn't show the green arrow indicating the server is running. If I deploy to the server, the build script fails because the server is already running. It was my understanding from the documentation that these features were available, but they don't appear to be. I even tried with a previous version of JBoss (4.0.4), with the same result.
maybe dup of issue 86461?
chrisb2000, can you please verify that it is really the same issue as issue 86461? thanks
Actually it same problem like issue 86461 -> i've tried attached patch (in 86461) and it's functional -> it needs little bit improvement in patch -> it depends patch does only a few changes but globaly a small plugin redesign will be good
Sorry ;) it same problem like issue 89151 ;) I made a mistake in post above.
Issue 89151 Fixed -> included patch file issue89151-2.patch can be applied on release55 branch to make HOT_FIX for 5.5 to support JBoss Application Server 4.0.5
I have the same kind of problem. It seems that Netbeans is not able to understand the "up/down status" of Jboss (I had the same issue both with 4.0.4 and 4.0.5 versions). I can start Jboss from the server list, but after starting it, in its menu I continue to see the "start" option and not the "stop" option. If I try to deploy a .jsp on Jboss, the first time I do it the server is correctly started and the .jsp displayed in the browser, but i try to deploy something it again (or any other stuff) Netbeans try to start again Jboss, and of course Jboss will not start because its TCP port is already in use by the previously started istance of Jboss.
JBoss 4.0.5 support was added (the issue 89151) -> closing this one as a duplicate *** This issue has been marked as a duplicate of 89151 ***
