Description yeskay 2007-02-23 03:16:00 UTC
Right now there is no public API to plugin any kind of JComponent into Netbeans
standard output window. Providing this option will give more flexibility to the
module developers to add their custom actions.

not a defect. Also not sure if that feature is good from UI consistency point of
view. Your component is not guaranteed to support the same shortcuts, have the
same popup menu etc. Why not having a separate topcomponent docked next to the
output window?

is actually a duplicate of #58633
