Description vbrabant 2007-03-02 23:22:36 UTC
I just tried the creation of modules. And it's workink like a charm.
Just some details to enhance:

1. buttons for Submit and Cancel are not the same size nor the same look.

2. After creation of the module, I arrive to the My Modules Page where I can
handle my modules. But that page seems unreachable from the main page of the
pluginportal. :-(

3. I also didn't success to find a way to fill in the version field (the one
that is displayed on the module page)

4. Also, when I do a search, I can find my module, and I can even see my module.
But I have no possibility at that moment to update the information.

5. A link to that page should exists on the main page of the plugin, when we are
logged in: http://plugins.netbeans.org/PluginPortal/faces/MyPluginsPage.jsp

6. When I created the second module, the look of
http://plugins.netbeans.org/PluginPortal/faces/MyPluginsPage.jsp was strange.

I was waiting on images for these buttons. This is fixed now.

This page is always reachable once you are logged in from the login area by
clicking on your userid once you are logged in. I've seen other feedback along
these lines. The UI designer is aware of the issue and is looking at ways to
make this better.

>3. I also didn't success to find a way to fill in the version field (the one
>that is displayed on the module page)

This is the "specification version" taken from the NBM file ONLY if you upload a
NBM. We don't want users changing this field then expecting the info.xml file
to change in the NBM file so we made it read only. We are putting together user
documentation that should help with this. Also, would putting "Spec" before
version on the label help?

>4. Also, when I do a search, I can find my module, and I can even see my >module.
>But I have no possibility at that moment to update the information.

That is correct. I also spoke with the UI designer about this and he was OK
with putting a "Modify" button on the detail page if the user was logged in and
they owned the plugin. This will be coming shortly. The prototype I did
included this navigation feature.

I discussed this topic in the other enhancement request.

What do you mean by "strange"? Do you mean strange because the name is wrapped
in the column?

Thanks again for the feedback!

When I said Strange, I mean the text of the column is with a white background,
and not a normal background like when you have only one module. I added the
screenshot with one module. So you can compare.

Vincent

Thanks for the other feedback.
Now it seems obvious.

Thanks for the nice application. I really appreciate it.
