Looks like a problem in windows look and feel's file chooser ui.  Is it reproducible on 1.5?

Note also that the mount wizard may go away for promo-D.

Closing as wontfix.  1., it is a bug in WindowsFileChooserUI, 2., mounting archives is gone.

mounting wizard is gone - verifying
