Product Version: NetBeans IDE 6.0 Beta 1 (Build 200709141330) Java: 1.6.0_03; Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM 1.6.0_03-b05 System: Windows XP version 5.1 running on x86; Cp1252; en_CA (nb) Userdir: C:\Documents and Settings\JFederer\.netbeans\6.0beta1 Running on 3-monitor setup, with centre monitor open to main editor and Navigator; Services, Files, Projects, Search Results/IRB on left monitor, right monitor not used for NetBeans. Upon restart of NetBeans, Editor and Navigator load on centre monitor as expected, others are all centred on left monitor (do not maintain last-used positions, need to be moved back manually). Very annoying, only bug/inconvenience found so far.
Reassigning to core - window system for evaluation.
Three monitors? Oh God :-)
On two monitors it seems to be OK, I will test further. jfederer, could you test with only two monitors attached, if the bug is reproducible for you? Thanks...
Sorry for the delay, I was travelling. I have tried enabling just 2 monitors, the issue is the same. Further, I have just installed Beta 2, the issue remains. The left monitor runs on an NVidia GeForce2 MX 200, the other 2 monitors on an ATI Radeon 9200. Even after disabling the NVidia, all support windows open stacked in centre of monitor.
I have been running 6.5 RC1 for the past week, and the problem appears to have been fixed. I just upgraded to 6.5 (Build 200811100001) and everything looks (and works) fine. Thanks for looking into this.
