Product Version = NetBeans IDE 8.2 (Build 201609300101) Operating System = Linux version 4.4.0-65-generic running on amd64 Java; VM; Vendor = 1.8.0_121 Runtime = Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM 25.121-b13 Reproducibility: Happens every time STEPS: * Start Netbeans * Start page shows * there's a featured demo area * There is also a reload button ACTUAL: * nothing happens * press [Reload] --> nothing happens EXPECTED: The internet connection is working I can ping google.com -c2 from bash I'd expect at least the RELOAD to come good or PRINT an error message I can send to you good people. I have a screenshot to attach. HISTORY: This facility used to work when I first installed Netbeans. Nothing has been altered on the netbeans side apart form different plugins loaded. OTHER FACTORS: I am starting from a custom user profile area. I don't know if that's a factor. I should NOT be of course. Deleting the User directory can bring back the "Featured Demo" display
