Apple has released a test build of 1.5.0_04, which should be sufficient to install the profiler.

No installer is available for the platform, and the installers are binary executables, so it is nontrivial to 
install it on MacOS X.

Please build a profiler installer for the MacOS X platform, so we can test it against the new JVM.  
Alternatively, a zip or tgz with the files will allow installation and testing.

If there are bugs in this Apple JVM build that impact the NetBeans profiler, an installer will make it 
easier to detect them and get them fixed before release.  Once the JVM has been released, it will be 
harder to get changes rolled into the build.

Thanks for reporting this.

We are aware of the availability of the ea version of update 4 on Mac, and will 
start working on testing it.

Please note that supporting Mac is not only about making the installer 
available. We also have to build the native libraries for Mac OS, and test. 
Agree with your point on early testing, we will do some initial testing as soon 
as possible.
